Terms of Service

Account Creation

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You may not share your account with others
• One person, one account (no duplicate accounts)

Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we terminate your account, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to appeal.

Backer Terms

• When you back a project, you purchase "Teils" (revenue units)
• Teils entitle you to 50% of the project's non-ad revenue, distributed proportionally
• Teils can be traded on the platform marketplace
• You do not own the intellectual property—only revenue rights
• Revenue is distributed monthly based on the previous month's earnings

Creator Terms

• You retain full ownership of your intellectual property
• You grant Teilify a license to host and distribute your content
• You earn 30% of all revenue (ad and non-ad)
• You can set your own Teil prices and control supply
• You are responsible for ensuring your content doesn't violate laws or rights

Viewer Rewards

• You earn 20% of ad revenue from content you watch
• Earnings are tracked automatically based on verified watch time
• Minimum payout threshold is $10
• Fraudulent viewing (bots, auto-play farms) will result in account termination

What's Allowed

We believe in free expression. You can create and share almost anything, including controversial opinions, adult content (marked appropriately), political commentary, and creative works of all kinds.

What's Not Allowed

• Illegal content: Child exploitation, terrorism, human trafficking, etc.
• Copyright infringement: Content you don't have rights to
• Fraud: Scams, fake projects, misleading backers
• Doxxing: Sharing private information without consent
• Spam: Mass automated content or manipulation

Your Content

You own your content. Period. By uploading to Teilify, you grant us a license to host, distribute, and display your content. This license is non-exclusive (you can post elsewhere) and ends when you delete your content.

Our Platform

Teilify's code, design, and branding are our property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

Copyright Claims

If you believe content on Teilify infringes your copyright, email us at copyright@teilify.com with details. We'll investigate and take appropriate action.

Platform Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime, but we can't guarantee the platform will always be available. We're not liable for losses due to downtime, bugs, or technical issues.

Backing Risk

Backing projects carries risk. Projects may fail, earnings may be zero, and Teil values may decrease. We don't guarantee returns. Only back projects you believe in and can afford to lose.

User Content

We're not responsible for user-generated content. Creators are responsible for their own content. If you see something illegal, report it to us immediately.

Contact Us First

If you have a problem, please contact us at support@teilify.com. We'll do our best to resolve it fairly and quickly.

Arbitration

If we can't resolve a dispute informally, we'll use binding arbitration instead of going to court. This is faster and cheaper for everyone.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email and display a notice on the platform for 30 days. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Important: We will NEVER change the revenue split percentages without a platform-wide vote. The 50/30/20 split is sacred.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in Delaware courts or through arbitration.
